anti-depressant withdrawal symptoms

Alcohol withdrawal refers to a group of symptoms that may occur an individual will abruptly discontinue the use of alcohol after a chronic or a long period of ingestion.

Not everybody who stops drinking will experience withdrawal effects, but most individuals who have been drinking for a long period of time, or drinking frequently, or drink heavily when they do drink, will be experiencing some form of withdrawal effects if they stop drinking abruptly.

There is no way to predict how people will respond to quitting. If you plan to stop drinking and you have been drinking for years, or if you drink heavily when you do drink, or even if you drink moderately but frequently, you should consult a medical professional before going "cold turkey" off the alcohol. Alcohol can be one of the hardest substances to quit if the addict is drinking for a long period of time

Did you know?

A shot of whisky has approximately the same quantity of alcohol as a regular bottle of beer.

High-alcohol drinks, like coolers and strong beers, will get you drunk much rapidly than lower-alcohol drinks, because they contain more alcohol than one standard drink.
